PRAYER

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 is says ‘Pray without ceasing’, we know that can seem overwhelming, although it doesn’t need to be. What its saying is include God in your every day. Like we have to communicate with one another to have a relationship, we need to talk (pray) to God to have relationship with Him. And to make it strong, prayer needs to happen continually. Your worries, your challenges, your joys and achievements – talk to God about it daily. 

We have a team of committed and supportive people ready to pray for your request - this is our prayer chain. If you are interested to join this team talk to us to discuss further.

Fasting is a spiritual practice that enables us to grow in our relationship with God. 


It's purpose is to set aside a specific span of time for restricting certain foods or practices as a physical commitment to seek God through deeper personal engagement and fervent prayer. God’s people would often fast and pray for Divine help in times of crisis.

 

Read 2 Chronicles 20:3; Esther 4:16; and Daniel 9:3 for more insights. 

COMPLETE FAST

You drink only liquids, typically water with optional light juices. 
 

 PARTIAL FAST

Sometimes called the ‘Jewish Fast’ and involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00am to 3:00pm, or from sunup to sundown. 
 
SELECTIVE FAST

Involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, a pseudo vegan fast, during which you remove meat, sweets and bread from your diet, consume water and juice for fluids, and fruits and vegetables for food. 
 
SOUL FAST

A great option if you do not have much experience fasting from food; have health issues that prevent you from fasting food; or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast. 

 

COMMUNION

On the upcoming National Day of Prayer and Fasting, why don’t you substitute that one meal of the day by taking communion and standing in prayer on God’s promises.

7PM PRAYER

As an ACC movement we are encouraging everyone to pray at 1900hrs (7:00pm) each night

from wherever you are; regarding the current health crisis of COVID-19.

As a church we have seen and continue to see the power of prayer.

God encourages us to join together and pray.

The bible is our instruction manual in life. It says in 2 Timothy 3:16
